GAME FORM: Five-minute narrative arc. "The Charcoal Telegraph" — a clockwork message-works. Steam CONDENSES into ASCII block-letter glyphs on the platen; you read the pattern and TRANSMIT it by typing. As chapters progress, CHARCOAL soot fouls the glyphs, so the puzzle becomes reading patterns through noise. Two interacting mechanics: pattern decoding + boiler-pressure/charcoal resource management.
