About this game

THE LAMPLIGHTER'S RATION — GAME FORM: Five-minute narrative arc. A deduction game. The city is under curfew beneath a restless aurora. You are a lamplighter crossing four districts. In each, you must deduce which blocks hide WATCHERS (shadows) from the neighbour-counts on the blocks you light. Two interacting systems: 1. Deduction grid (Minesweeper-style reasoning, no time pressure). 2. Ration / Aurora economy — lighting a Watcher's block costs a ration of oil (run dry => bad ending); lighting safe blocks charges the Aurora, which you spend to SCOUT a guaranteed-safe block. Mechanics evolve chapter to chapter; the story resolves at dawn. Helpers used: lib/audio.js, lib/rng.js, lib/particles.js
